SPECIAL MEETING

Council Chamber:

Mayor Burzichelli presided at the Special Meeting of Council held on the above date and place.

Borough Clerk VanScoy read the opening statement regarding the Open Public Meetings Act.

Members present were: Hamilton, Kidd, Morina, Tedeski. Absent: Haynes and Giovannitti who were both excused.

Mayor Burzichelli opened the floor to the public.

There wasn’t any public participation.

R. #162.08: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION OF BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF PAULSBORO. Kidd moved and Hamilton seconded to adopt R. #162.08. Roll call: Ayes: Hamilton, Kidd, Morina, Tedeski. Nays: None. Motion carried.

This Executive Session was called to conduct interviews for the position of Sergeant of the Paulsboro Police Department.

The interviews were concluded at 6:35 p.m.

Hamilton moved and Morina seconded to open the meeting to the public at 6:35 p.m. All were in favor of the motion.

At this point, Council President Haynes joined the meeting.

Auditor Nick Petroni was present to discuss the 2007 Audit recommendations. He stated there weren’t any issues that would give him great concern as they are just housekeeping issues and some were administrative issues that needed follow up.

Councilman Kidd felt that due to the time and money that is put into the Audit, Auditor Petroni should be present when they audit is given to Council to approve. He further felt it was important and he would be making a motion to that effect.

There wasn’t any further Special Meeting business.

Hamilton moved and Haynes seconded to adjourn the Special Meeting at 6:45 p.m. All were in favor of the motion.
