All dogs over 7 months of age must be licensed.

New residents from out of State must obtain license within 10 days of moving into State. Residents moving within the State and with a valid, current year license from old New Jersey residence can get a replacement tag from the Township for $2.00.

All licenses are renewable during January. After January 31st, a $3.00 late fee is due for renewals.

Rabies Inoculation must be valid until December 1st of the year of issue of the dog license

Fee:

$7.20 for neutered/spayed dogs - veterinarian's certification of neutering must be provided

$10.20 for non-neutered/spayed dogs

Late fee of $3.00 after January 31st is charged. Puppies age 7 months and younger, new residents, newly acquired older dogs are exempt from the late fee if proof of residency/ acquisition are provided with the application

Postage in the amount of $.34 per license or self-addressed, stamped envelope must accompany licenses purchased through the mail

Original veterinarian's certification of rabies inoculation including the expiration date for the inoculation. Copies cannot be accepted. Original certification will be returned to you. Rabies inoculation must be valid until December 1st of the year of issue except, in the case of a puppy under one year of age if the rabies inoculation was given in the last two months.

Dog Owners are required by law to pick up their dog's feces on streets and sidewalks.

Dogs must be leashed at all times while off owner's property (except in conjunction with hunting or within "Dog Parks".
