P is for Paulsboro Day
"P" might be for the Phillies,
but today it also represents Paulsboro Day
with a refreshing water ice by Gezzi's!

of the national anthem sung by soloist Marquishia Stringfield.


Entertainment sign
This Paulsboro Day sign displayed the
entertainment scheduled throughout the day.


PHS Art display
Margaret LaDue hangs this art display from Paulsboro High School Art class 1, 2 and 3, including Art Service from 2004-2005. The art shields on the left were completed with the late Art Department Head Mr. Gaines, who was a teacher for 34 years.



Sharing laughs
This eight-month old Phillies fan, Alexis,
shares a laugh with mother Theresa Marciante.


Guard honor
Paulsboro represenatatives from the Woodbury National Guard Pvt. Vincent Luton (second from right) and Spc Daniel Mehmel
(on right) greeted Carolyn Kappre (on left) and Donald Doaks.
Some people stopped by the display because they were interested in what it takes to become a national guard and some people just wanted to commend them
for their dedication to our country.
 



Signs
Paulsboro Day and the Tinicum Lighthouse
signs were posted by the 295 ramps
to lead people to the festivities.


School representatives
Superintendent of Paulsboro Public Schools Dr. Frank Scambia stands with science teacher Linda Smith, first grade transitional teacher Judy Tuscano, assistant principal/director of 21 Century program Phil Neff and LDk-1 teacher Elaine Andrus. These school system representatives, and others from the administration building, the high school, Loudenslager and Billingsport manned the Paulsboro Education Association booth.

to enjoy the day's celebration.


Creative Library team
Gill Memorial Librarians, Violet Valentine (kneeling),

historical display with Michelle Pratz,
Christina Lenker and Steven Lenker (on right).

These newly acquired historical items
are from the Fireflies Drum & Bugle Corps
of Paulsboro.



Lighthouse
The Tinicum Lighthouse is always a popular
attraction. For those interested,
this sign gives the days and times
that the lighthouse is open.

by the South Jersey Garden Railway Society.

The elaborate display ran various
trains for viewers of all ages.


Heritages
Andrea (left) and Valentina filled out entry
tickets to win a free scooter.
Jay Dempsey, a Heritage's representative,
instructs that the raffle will be
called every hour throughout the day.


Philly Cuzz
Voice impressionist Philly Cuzz sang
favorite tunes made popular by Jimmy Durante
and other musical icons.


The Bradfords
Brad and Linda Bradford enjoyed the food,
entertainment and weather of Paulsboro Day.


Ed White
Singer/ Comedian Ed White motivated
the crowd to sing and laugh.


PPD
Ed Ravely and Angelica Hosmer stopped by the Paulsboro
Police Department booth and spoke with
Det/Sgt Vernon Marino (seated on left),
Chief of Police Kenneth Ridinger (seated on right),
Lt. Chris Wachter (standing on left) and Lt. Jennifer Zubec.



Veterans
The Veterans booth was manned proudly by
racecar pilot Jim Maturo (on left),
Sr. Vice Commander Mike Wright and Commander Fred Mann. They sold cookie-filled commemorative tins to support our veteran heroes.

Mary Valesky (on left) stopped by the CVS Pharmacy booth
to speak with Jamielynn Vaughan, CVS Photolab Supervisor,
and Donna Twombly, CVS Photo Regional Category
Specialist (on right).


The Pearce family
The Pearce family takes a water ice break
in the cool of the baseball dugout.
